My Littlest Man

This is one of my favorite pictures of my little man (OK, so he isn't that little) Cruise. He is 2 months old in this pic. Aren't sleeping babies the cutest?

Buddies

We left Brighton home to watch Cougar a few nights ago and this is what we found when we got home. I thought it was cute so I took a picture.

Let Me Go!

Brighton went outside the other day to feed Sadie and Cougar wanted to go out with her. I told him he couldn't go because there was lots of snow and he didn't have any shoes on. He took matters into his own hands and this what I turned around to find a few minutes later. There was no way I couldn't let him go after all that work getting those boots on!

Happy Birthday to Me!

I have a niece with the same birthday as mine (Sunday the 25th) so on Saturday we met her, her mom, and my mom at the Gateway to see a movie and have lunch to celebrate with "just the girls". We saw Inkheart. Nevada had wanted to see it but Brighton didn't want to. She thought the previews for it made it look a little scary, but she braved it out anyways. It was rated PG but I have to admit I was a little surprised at how action packed and intense it was for that rating. I really liked it, it was actually a pretty cool story line and all, but I probably would have rated it PG-13. Nobody asked me, though, so it remains a PG movie. I did have to take my boys, Doug was at Sundance for the day, but they are little enough we still called it a girls day. After the movie we went to the food court and had lunch, followed by a little shopping. Cruise slept his way through the movie, the three girls all got some new earrings, Cougar tried on some necklaces and had fun jumping down the sidewalks, and we all had a good time. Thanks Rumseys for a great Saturday and a memorable birthday!

Valuable Marriage Advice!

This past Sunday, Doug and I attended a Marriage and Family Relations class where the topic was different ways to strengthen the relationship with your spouse. One of the guys (of course) in the class shared some advice that he and his wife were given when they first got married. They were told that if they were going to fight, then fight naked.

It's amazing how many different things you can find to fight about!!!

A Few Random Pix

Brighton, Cougar and Nevada on the porch swing.

Cougar sporting swim goggles and a hat.

Nevada lookin' cool!

Cruise - just a few hours old.

A day on the water.

We just got a new computer. It's nice to have one that actually works. I just finished downloading all of the pictures that were on my phone, all 413 of them, and thought I would post some of my favorite ones.

Walking with Dinosaurs

We got some tickets to go see Walking with Dinosaurs last night at the Energy Solutions Arena. It was great! We were a little nervous about bringing Cougar. We gave him some play dinosaurs for Christmas and when he got them halfway opened, he threw them to the ground and was afraid of them! I had him watch some videos on YouTube that other people had taken from the show in different cities. At first he didn't know quite what to think, and then after seeing a couple of them, he didn't want me to turn them off. That was a good sign, but we still weren't sure what he would be like when we were actually there at the live show. He did so good! During the first half, he sat in Nevada's lap and kind of tucked his head into her shoulder but still tried to watch everything. During the second half, he was sitting up on the edge of her lap, having a great time. He was even telling the dinosaurs "Hi" and "Bye Bye" as they came in and out of the arena. During part of the show there was a storm and when the lightning flashed Brighton almost jumped out of her seat, but not my Cougar! He didn't even flinch when T-Rex came out and roared, VERY LOUD, during the last segment. What a brave little trooper!
