What Cute Kids I Have!

Here are just some random pictures of my cute kids taken over the last two months. Fun, fun, fun - how did I get so lucky?

Holland

My step-daughter came for a quick visit over the weekend. She lives in Idaho Falls so we don't get to see her as much as we would like. Come again soon, Holland!!!

Mock Family Reunion!

My brother and his wife came out to visit from Pennsylvania. They were supposed to be here for Christmas, but due to weather issues weren't able to make it, so they rescheduled and came out for a few days the end of February. They have a little girl that is about three months older than Cruise. She is their first baby and it was fun to finally get to see her. The rest of my family all lives in the area so we were all able to spend all of Saturday together. We went bowling and just hung out at my parents' house. It has been a long time since we all were together. It seems like either someone lives too far away or has something else going on and we can never ALL be there at the same time, so it was a very crazy and long time-coming get together! A good time was had by all and hopefully it won't be so long until the next time!

Cougar Cut!

Cougar got his first haircut. As you can see from the pictures he was LONG overdue! The whole process took three days, a little here, a little there. The first batch I was able to cut while he sat and ate chocolate chips out of a cup. After a few snips that wasn't good enough and he would only sit still if he was holding the whole bag. That didn't take long to lose its touch, however, and the next successful tactic was letting him vacuum up his own hair after each snip. After each individual cut he would have to vacuum the hair up by himself. Even something as exciting as that lost its magic after a few minutes, though, and that was the end of day one. Day two brought success when he fell asleep in my lap twice. I had someone bring me the scissors and was able to cut both sides of his head while he snoozed. On day three, I gave Doug a haircut, and guess what? Cougar thought that was cool and climbed up into Doug's lap and wanted me to cut his hair, too! Go figure!
